POSITION SUMMARY This role supervises a Production Team engaged in one or more production activities, fabrication, refractory, assembly, production, or quality control. The Production Supervisor partners with the Supply Chain team to ensure projects remain on schedule and on budget. This position manages and makes adjustments to schedules, workloads, and resourcing as needed to ensure deadlines are met and the optimal performance of the team. The Production Supervisor is responsible for resolving the most complex production problems using strong technical expertise and a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Attends any pre-production meetings and/or interacts with customers directly as necessary. Ensures high-quality standards in all production deliverables. Ensures team is adhering to safety rules. Leads continuous improvement activities and reports out during the daily meeting. Creates strong and effective internal partnerships to ensure client needs are met and projects stay within scope, budget, timeline, quality, and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Proactively leads the development of improved production processes and achieves financial targets. Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors. Follows up with direct reports to ensure jobs are on target for established hours and deadlines and adheres to company policies and procedures. Develops work instructions and maintains training matrix. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. Mentors, coaches, trains and develops team. Additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree in Production or related field 6
years of previous managing production teams experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience Occasional travel may be required High/Basic degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications. Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning). Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts. Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients. Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
