Job Descriptions The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing the warehouse associates to ensure they are performing all essential duties in the warehouse.
This position will make decisions regarding products and orders to maximize efficiencies and overall productivity of the associates and warehouse.
Responsibilities Motivate, lead, and coach warehouse staff to effectively carry out given tasks.
Coaches and trains warehouse associates on the proper execution of warehouse duties, ensures policies and procedures are followed.
Provides general guidance/direction, training, and technical assistance to junior level personnel.
Contributes to employee's professional development but does not have hiring/firing authority.
Verifies and enters data into the system.
Exhibits detailed knowledge of all warehouse roles and is qualified in all aspects of warehouse operations.
Safely operates forklift, pallet jack, and/or other machinery to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, stocking, picking, staging, and transportation of goods.
Ensure the highest level of customer service is administered to both internal and external customers.
Maintain warehouse and machinery ensuring equipment is serviced when needed and a clean workspace is kept at all times.
Verifies and stocks products in designated locations or locates to pull correct quantities to fulfill orders and meet productivity and accuracy goals.
Assist in other aspects of the warehouse when needed.
Promote a safe work environment through personal actions.
Identify and acts on any safety concerns.
Under limited supervision, relies on experience and exercises independent judgement to determine best approach to achieve desired outcomes.
Course of action is often determined by interpreting procedures and policies.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications 2
years of previous warehouse experience.
Knowledge of NetSuite ERP system (preferred).
Ability to operate a forklift and other equipment necessary to complete tasks.
Knowledge of warehouse management systems.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to professionally lead staff by example and handle light supervisory duties.
Familiar with training and coaching techniques.
Proficiency in computer systems including Microsoft package.
Physical stamina, able to work long hours on one's feet.
Excellent organization and efficient time management skills Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
