Randall's Mechanical/Plumbing Division has seen rapid growth and we are looking to grow our capabilities by prefabricating more of our work throughout Florida.
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Piping Prefabrication Manager to join our team at our Apopka, Florida headquarters.
This position is responsible for the daily supervision, direction, and coordination of all mechanical prefabrication activities, to produce quality work, within project requirements, targeted budget, and schedule.
Relevant Description includes:
Adept at positive collaboration, cooperation, and interaction with project team.
Evaluate drawings to establish design standards, specifications, and required criteria.
Utilizes software to produce and modify two-dimensional (2D) drawings and develops detailed three-dimensional (3D) digital BIM prefabrication assembly drawings for projects as needed.
Identify and coordinate all preconstruction aspects with project team during project turnover meetings.
Coordinate with field leadership at jobsites to identify jobsite needs and lay out designs to be created in prefabrication shop.
Cooperation with purchasing and consignment to order required tools and parts for project completions.
Periodically visits the job site to evaluate prefab products, possible missed opportunities, and gather installer's feedback.
Troubleshoot and problem solve prefabrication/pre-construction issues.
Regularly participates in preconstruction and on-going project meetings.
Follow all guidelines, policies and procedures established by Randall following a systemic, standardized approach to detailing project plans.
Understands estimates, drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication.
High attention to detail and sound judgment/decision-making abilities.
Proactive learner with a desire to improve continuously and grow.
Considerable organizational, coordination, and deadline driven abilities.
Strong mathematical and multi-tasking skills.

Qualifications include:
oA GED or high school diploma is the minimum formal education required for this position.
A degree in Engineering is preferred.
oA combined total of 10
years in the mechanical industry with 5 or more years work experience as a shop manager (including sheet metal, plumbing, and pipefitting) required.
oExperience in managing design for mechanical and plumbing systems is highly desirable.
oWork in the large commercial construction and theme park industries is preferred.
oComputer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, etc.
) required.
oSpecific software literacy (BIM-Revit, Navisworks) preferred.
Training can be provided.
oBilingual (English & Spanish) a plusoDemonstrated ability to use various tools in 5SoDemonstrated ability to understand, develop and use KPIs effectively.
oDemonstrated ability to develop budgets, bills of material and provide feedback on performance against them.
