We are currently seeking a legal assistant with 2
years of experience in civil defense.
Job requirements include:
Basic understanding of Florida Rules of Civil of Procedure and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure Strong verbal, technology and office skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook Working knowledge of legal billing software preferred Overall office support including data entry, scanning, photocopying, filing and mail General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Scheduling and maintaining calendars for multiple attorneys Proofreading and sending out correspondence and Court pleadings Filing and saving electronic documents utilizing the Florida ePortal and Federal CMECF websites Phone support Maintaining both physical and electronic litigation files Assisting attorneys and paralegals with trial preparation Candidates should have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well independently while also communicating with additional legal staff and attorneys.
Salary commiserate with experience and work ethic.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
